I have just bought a Matrix Infinity home brew mod chip for my slim PS2 V12. I have also just got the neo-Fix iii laser fix to protect the laser.

However when I look at the limited installation instructions that are around, there appears to be no one fixed way of installing it depending on what console you have.

Instead there are references to either connecting 6 or 8 diodes depending on what unit you have and what resonator you need.
Here is an example of what I am talking about.

has anyone fitted one of these to a V12, and if so can they confirm how I determine what connections I make.

I have held off from fitting the mod chip until I get this sorted out, and if required can take the PS2 back and swap for the new V13 silver unit. If was to install Matrix mod in a V13 could I do away with the laser fix all together?

Sorry I can't help you because I have no idea how this fix works, but I just wanted to comment on how horrible those instructions really are. The engrish doesn't help either.

I agree on the instructions, I think no need to have several large drinks before you start to understand them.

IluvPs2 Thanks for suggestion on the SummOne Fix, I will get on of those as well. The matrix site says that it won't do nay harm to have both installed together, and as I already have the Neo-Fix iii it may as well be put to some use.

Has anyone got any suggstions for where to get the SummOne fix in the UK.

I presume that anyone selling it, will have programmed the PIC, as Matrix state that they ship it bare.

Thanks for any help!
