Does anyone know if Imation DVD-R 4,7GB 8x works with a NEC ND-3540?

i'm sure it DOES, but NOT WELL~ :)
Imation DVD-R 4.7GB CMC MAG. AE1 8x (crap if you ask me)
i would NOT suggest using such crappy media on such a fine drive, it's an insult~ :)

yeah dazzi there junk use Taiyo Yuden,Verbatim or Ritek and burn at 4X max. you will be much better off

Problem is that in Sweden were I live Taiyo Yuden and Ritek are not on the market and Verbatim are bouble the price of other brands like Maxell, Platinum and so on...

well, dazzi, then i would suggest getting some Maxells if they are "normal" price in your area~ see if you can obtain the ones that are "made in japan", simply look on the wrapper as the country of origin will be displayed on there; as i have QUITE a few of these in both 8x DVD-R and 8x DVD+R format and they are GOOD quality discs~ :)
Maxell DVD-R 4.7GB MXL RG03.... 8x (made in japan-good stuff)
Maxell DVD-R 4.7GB RITEKG05.... 8x (made in taiwan, also good stuff)
Maxell DVD+R 4.7GB MAXELL..002 8x (made in japan, not too bad, but i prefer the YUDEN000T02s over these personally-Fuji/Sony brand)
Maxell DVD+R 4.7GB RICOHJPNR02 8x (made in taiwan, again, i prefer the TYs over these, but these are not too shabby)
Maxell DVD+R 4.7GB RITEK...R03 8x (i know my buddy gurnard LOVES these, made in taiwan, but i have not PERSONALLY used these before)
so, there you go, maxell's are pretty good, at least in the 8x speed rating, those are ALL decent manufacturers :)
good luck~ i hope you can find some that aren't too pricey~ :)
