very new when it comes to computers and consoles..i have been playing for a long time but never really knew anything about the inner workings of any of it. when it comes to burning ps2 games, does the actual ps2 need any modifications to play those games.

Yes youll need to either buy a mod chip or a fliptop/swapmagic alternative. I prefer swap magic because you can play your backups online.

yes, modification is needed
You can play a back up of a movie fine
but for games you need boot discs (aka Swap Magic)
and a fliptop to load them
fliptop is so you do not have to press eject when you swap the
Swap Magic disc for the back up disc. If you do
the PS2 will reset and it will not work.
