Alright, I have successfully backed up plently of games, and I can't seem to get this one! I have a V7, modded PS2, I'm using Verbatium, @ 4X, w/ Nero expres. What the heck!!!! Please some one help me! I'm tearing my hair out here!
I've tried using DVDDecryptor set at ISO Read, and it makes 2 seperate files, 1 X-men.iso image and 1 xmen.mds file. I don't get it??

So, are you saying that your backup copy didn't work?

You mention that your ps2 is modded... but with what? a modchip? or swapmagic etc?

If it's swapmagic..sometimes the games need to be rebuilt... do a search for the game that you want to backup and hopefully someone will have found out if it needs rebuilding or soemthing.

dvd decrypter always makes 2 files .. 1 .mds and 1 .iso - unless you tell it not to in the preferences.

then if you're using DVD Decrypter to burn.. select the mds file, all the mds file does is tell decrypter how to burn the iso file.

or you can burn the iso file with Nero image burning program or another favourite burning program.

How do you normally back them up then?.. you say that you've done it plenty of times before. Maybe you just didn't notice the mds file before.

okay... I normally just use Nero and make a copy of the disc. I have a mod-chip.
After making ~10 coasters I tried using Nero to burn the image to a disc!! And it worked!!! Me and my kid are eating a bag of cookie to celebrate!!
