Hi,

I searched the forums and google and I haven't really found a conclusive answer. Basically, what I need to do is add a logo to a dvd menu and to the credits without disturbing the rest of the dvd. Is this reasonably possible? I'm primarilly looking for software for a mac, and free, but I'd take anything for windows or linux that is moderatly priced as well. So far the only thing I've found is DvdReMake, but I can't really tell if it will do the job. Any ideas?

Thanks
Brian

If you can take those parts of the movie and convert them into AVI, then you can edit them with Sony Vegas. This is expensive, but I think it comes with a 30 day trial. I own it, so I do not know the limitations of the trial, but the program can definately add a logo of any length to you video.

Basically, you would be looking for video editing software though. There should be lots of it out there like from; adobe, Sonic, Mainconcept, etc...

I do not think DVDremake has the feature to add a logo to your DVD. That program is good for editing the structure of your DVD. You can take out audio, subs, change first play, merge discs, etc...

For editing your menus, are they already compiled into your DVD? If so you will have to extract them. The VTS_0x_0.VOB file will not be enough.

If your movie is not yet compiled or you still have the original files, you can import your menus into a DVD authoring software and add a logo to them from there.

You can also import the credits as a mtion menu. Then add your logo and a small movie clip and compile your DVD (if you are using DVDlab pro, you have to render the motion). After that, VTS_01_0.VOB will be your new credit roll with the logo. If you do this, make sure all you have in your project is the Credits and a small clip for the main movie.

After you are finished editing, import your new credits and menus and recompile your DVD.

Ah I see,

Yes, everything has been compiled already on an actual dvd disc. But, luckily we were able to find the exact template used to create the menu, so that part should be able to be recreated. As for the credits part, I will look into DVDlab.

Thank you, I appreciate the info.

If your menus a re still (or if it is ok to convert them to still) then it can be done very easily using DvdReMake Pro. Check this mini guide: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=98280
