Recently tried to rip a version of metal gear solid. I tried using my Breaker Pro to boot the game on my PS2 console. What happens is it hangs on the booting cd message. I tried the different selections in the Breaker pro and, also checked the game with ePSxe Emu. The game starts in it.. I'd rather have it working on the PS2. Is there some sort of CD boot Emu I might have to use before the game CD like PS2 has for CD's and DVD's(CDloader/DVDloader)?

Most likely you didn't burn the game correctly check here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/236278 for guides to burn PSX games with Nero, Clone CD, or Alcohol %120.

Then check here: for correct Breaker Pro usage:http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/230987 This was written for the slide card, so just substitute flip top where neccessary. I'd still venture to guess you may not be burning it correctly. What type of media are you using? Try video off or NTSC. Metal Gear Solid isn't mod protected so that's not it. Are you using CD-R's or CD-RW's? Did you download or make an image from an original? Post a little more info and I'll help ya. I take this personally I've only had one game I couldn't boot with Breaker-Legend of Mana, and that was cuz of a bad Clone CD rip by whoever created the torrent.

Yeah I'm burning it correctly. I've already wasted 3 CD's on one game. I've tried Alcohol 120% and Clone CD. Don't worry about it. I trashed the file after the 3'rd try.. My guess is that it was a bad rip from the person that did it in the first place. I posted a message on it where i got it from but alot of ppl are to scared to say something. I didn't say that the game doesn't work. Cause leaving that sort of message pisses the ripper off. It does me any ways. What I forgot to mention is when trying it in the ePSxe Emu. in the first parts of the screen play it had error lines through the picture. My guess is that's the problem. Who knows really. Anyways I gave up on this one. one out of 200+ rips is like flicking a booger into the trash can. You shrug it off like yesterdays news.

Yeah I can understand the frustration there. I must've went thru every torrent for Legend of Mana on the net. Same thing with Wild Arms. Don't be afraid to call em out, if somebody's too retarded to make a torrent, then they shouldn't be making images anyway. All I can figure is find a torrent for a different image of Metal Gear Solid. Try to remember the .rar size so you don't download the same defective image file again. Later.
