Hi rayboy,
DVDFab Decrypter only rips in file mode and it also rips the intire movie. It will however work just as good if not better than DVD Decrypter at accomplishing this task. I am not sure what method you are using to open the files in DVD Shrink but mine all open up just fine using DVDFab Decrypter as my DVD ripper. You can have a look at my guide on using DVDFab Decrypter and Sshrink to back up your DVD it is the very first guide at my site (link in signature) and see if you are applying the right steps in opening your movie.
Cheers

I looked on your site and I must say, Thats some good stuff. I do have a question I couldnt find the answer to. Id like to put tw different movies on one disk. I can do that fine. The question I have is how do I put the disk in my dvd player and choose Batman If I wanna see Batman or Superman If I wanna see Superman.
At the moment I have to fast forward to the next movie instead of selecting one at the opening of the disk.

sambaby,
I also like and use dvdremake pro to combine movies/discs (mainly flippers). It automatically installs a menu that allows you to choose which movie/disc you want. If you're going to use DVD Shrink as the transcoder I highly recommend movies only and selecting quality settings since there will a lot of compression required for 2 full length movies. A better compression alternative would be dvd-rb/cce.

Here's a link. I recommend the installer version. http://dvd-rb.dvd2go.org/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdown... You can use hcencoder by hanks which comes packaged with the installer vs or you can use other encoders including CCE but CCE is not free ($58).
If you decide you like dvd-rb I would recommend making a donation (used to be $10 but may be $25 now) to get the pro vs to take advantage of the added features.
You can find more in the rebuilder forum.

@MrSmithW,
Check out the remote control to your DVD player. It should have a button that says "Title" that will allow you to switch from one movie to the next..
:-) Cheers
