k i just started to backup up my ps2 games and i have modchip....and im wondering which Discs are the best to buy, like smart buy or sony or Hp???and whats the best way to burn ps2 games.??like on DVD-R or DVD+R because one of my buddies told my +R are better becaus ebteer quality...much apreciated...

search around there are numerous threads about discs but the best bet is DONT BUY CHEAP ONES. they will wear out your laser and it will end up a paper weight.Next use dvd decrptor to burn the games at 1x or the slowest you can burn them. Next Im in the process of testing out disc and comparing +r and -r.So far I have had overwhelming sucsess with Maxell DVD-R 50 pack 8x speed. And it seems that they are actually made by RITEK witch is a good disc to buy.The -rs seem to take less time to load and dont tend to lag or seem like they are going to freeze. Right now I have god of war and devil may cry 3 on a +R and a -R and like I said it seems to go smoother on the -R

thnx man ...and i seem to have a problem with big games around 4 gb..like i burn GTA SA on a DVD-R and its a smart buy disc and after playing for a while the game freezes then comes back on... then after imd one playing i see there are scrathes on the disc which were done by the laser....what can i do to that..is it my disc or the way i burn it ..??
