- I have a MDF file which I want to mount.
- I decided to download and install the latest version of Daemon Tools (3.47).
- The installation went perfectly fine and I rebooted.
- I richt-clicked the tray icon, went to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM and put the number of devices to 1.
- I saw a small window saying: please wait. After that it asked me to reboot and I did.

- My problem: After rebooting there is supposed to be a virtual drive in My Computer, but I can't see it anywhere. When I richt click C: and go to Properties and then to Hardware I see this:

There is a Generic DVD-ROM SCSI CdRom Device.
On the right you can see that I have mounted an image of Halo. Ignore that, it was just a test if it would work (which it didn't).

- This is what I see in Device Manager:

It says: Ahead Software AG.
I have Ahead Nero 6 Ultra Edition installed. Does this have something to do with it?

Do I have to change the device settings (drive letter, etc) in Daemon Tools? I tried changing the drive letter but it doesn't save anything.
Why can't I see the virtual drive in My Computer?
Is Nero causing problems?

Well I also can not see an extra Drive in "My Computer" untill I mount an Image to the Drive and then It shows up in "My Computer" so I think this is how it is Supposed to work....

To Mount an Image you Simply Right click the Tray Icon and go to "Virtual-CD/DVD Rom" to "Device 0" to "Mount image" and then select the Image you want to Mount and then after mounting it will show up in your "My Computer" and after you Un-Mount the Image the Drive will disapear from My Computer.....

Cheers
