Have some basic questions. I was just browsing on here and I do have a dvd+r burner. I got the computer with the top of the line dvd burner that DELL provided in september of 04. I believe it is a 4x burner? Does anyone have this same burner and would know if it is a dual layer burner? thanks..

anyways to the real ignorant questions..

I am looking to buy DVD wizard pro. It says it will burn ps2 games. Is this the best program out there now to do that? OR is there free stuff that I possible found on this website that would provide all the software I need to back up my ps2 games? What sort of software would I need to do the best backing up of my ps2 games? Thanks..

Damn you. No I'm joking but this does get asked a lot though. You're a noob so it's okay this time. You need either a slide card: http://www.saveware.com/SlideCardUsageAndInstall.htm or flip top: http://www.chipzone.com/installation/playstation2/fliptop/page1.cfm I prefer the flip top. Search around you can get a better price than $30. You can get Swap Magic and a flip top bundled for $35-$40.

Its actually very easy to do it just sounds hard all you do is boot up swap magic slidecard/fliptop disc out then put in backup shut PS2 using slidecard/fliptop and press X and with any luck it will load.If you really wont DVD wizard pro go to http://www.dvdwizardpro.com/dvd_prog_dir/ the genius of a webmaster made the purchase page just send everybody there so yyou can download any of thier programs free.I just use DVD Decryptor though :)

Nah it's easy I use a flip top and Breaker Pro to boot my PSX backups. The slide card can be a little confusing only because most of the step by step guides are poorly written. I recommend the flip top, however you do have to open up your PS2 and void your warranty to install it. The slide card requires you to take the front cover of your PS2 to create the "slide station." Neither one is difficult once you get the hang of it. I agree with Andrew don't waste money on DVD Pro, DVD Decrypter is free and works great.
