I bought this player just yesterday.
This is happening with AVI files. I have 4.2GB of .avi files on a DVD and it plays some of them fine, but others it says "Reading Index" and only plays like 3 seconds and then it moves to the next video and does it again. The AVIs are xvid and are all from the same source.

Was this a common problem fixed in a firmware release, or is this an error in encoding? Being that they are from the same source, I don't see how it could be an encoding problem unless the options were changed sometime in the middle of all the encoding. Gspot doesn't say anything too specific, is there another tool I can use to compare the AVI files that work against the ones that only work for 3 seconds?
