Hi i got a mod chip put into my playstation 2 about 3 years ago. I Dont know anything about the chip stupid i know.

To play backed up Non DVD games i had to insert a cd called DVD region x and when it got to the main screen i had to take it out and put in the backup game. I had not tested this on DVD games.

Recently i have got a couple of backed up dvd games and when i try this it doesn't work.

Could you tell me what could be wrong?

I am considering buying the PS2 flip top and swap magic as maybe i dont have the right chip.

Try just inserting the DVD backup, without the DVD Region x disk!

Hi i have tried that but wont work. It brings up the redish screen with please insert Playstation 2 disc or wrong disc format.

I used DVD Decrypter to backup the game.

Do you think i would be best to go ahead and buy the PS2 flip top and swap magic?
