VSO (freeware) is very good, VSO (commercial) is slower but surer.

If i was you and wanted quality which i am sure is as important to you as it is to me.......Try using The Film Machine using the CCE engine..with DS Roba....brilliant quality and great sound although not as fast as say divxtodvd but better quality..

So its your choice quality or speed

I have used dvdsanta for awhile without problems. Ive recently given vso divd2dvd (free version) a go. After getting my settings right I find it to be a very good program. I've noticed that people throw the word quality (as in picture quality) around alot. What to consider when talking about quality is what kind of tv u have. Some of the movies that I have on my pc that r in DivX form don't look to good on my pc. I have ultra sharp flat panel and play most my movies with powerdvd. My tv on the other hand is only a 36" picture tube. When i convert DivX, burn and play on tv the picture looks good, but thats just becuz my tv doesn't show all the faults. What program to use depends on your needs. If u want to convert a decent DivX movie to dvd to play on your tv, u can't get much more for free with divx2dvd.

Winavi is super fast for me when converting but i found that it put the frams to slow and couldent figer out y. I have vso full and that takes to long as the freebe will do the same AVI file 2hrs less, still long but only ever had one cock up with it. The full vso is crap 5hrs when freebe will do it in 3hrs.
Hope this helps u.

Cheers.
