Hello,

I am new to using mods to playing my backups. So far I have gathered alot of information. I have made a few back-ups using DVD-R disks as iso's which was easy. I just need a little help.

What I have to work with.
------------------------------------
Swap Magic 3.6 DVD Boot Disk (I do not have a fliptop or slidecard)
The original PS2 (v1.5 I believe).
------------------------------------

I am not sure if you need the slidecard or if its just a convience thing. I have seen the straw / tape methods but am not sure if they work with older ps2's or if its feasible at all. What is my best approach going forth?

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Straw/tape/whatever only works with slimline. The best method for older consoles is probably the fliptop; the slide card will work, but may mess up your tray motor.
