Its a bit long winded but any help would be appreciated.

Anyway, here goes. I was helping a friend install a large HDD on his softmodded xbox, I have an X3 enabled box so i used that to format his drive using his eeprom on my xbox and format it that way, that worked and his softmodded xbox is working fine now with the large HDD.

I have now put my xbox back together and I have a big problem, When I turn on the xbox I get no picture, THe box switches on but the led flashes a few times and nothing happens, it doesnt frag, but the green light just flashes on and off, another symptom is the fan starts quickly for a few seconds and slows to normal pace, the dvd drive will not open also, Im now out of ideas, i tried attatching a fresh hard drive to format but no joy, the same happens if i turn on the xbox with no hard drive attatched.

Dont know if this will help but the same problem happens if you either switch on the xbox with the chip enabled or disabled.

Is this possibly a problem with me replacing my eeprom with his? I didnt think that would be a problem as im running an X3 modchip.....

Im running a crystal 1.6 with an X3 chip

Anyway any help would be appreciated!

I feel your pain, i tried to softmod and almost screwed up my xbox. However I think you did screm up your xbox, if it wont open the dvd drive then your 100% srewed. I think you should get a new xbox and install everything back. I'm relly sorry.

Yeah I know,
One more question do you have all the original xbox stuff if you do make your xbox stock and if it works try installing it again and it might work.

Of course if you had a company put it in then you should be able to get a new xbox from them.

i need help!!
i was putting trainers on my xbox with a dvd and i finished, took the disk out and rebooted my xbox and it wouldnt load past the microsoft screen! it did nothing for a minute or so and the it restarted!!!!!!!!!!!! and it keeeps restarting!!! please help!!!!!! my xb is soft modded. I have aid2 if that will do any good
