Hi.

I was reading through the posts on how to back up your PS2 games, and I tried it with one of my games. Problem is it didnt work because of that DAIS code (is it DAIS? or DIAS or something, not sure)

In any case, I got the Disc ID Utility V0.2A program, and tried it. Unfortunately, my PS2 won't load it. I'm not sure what kind of mod chip I have in it, or the version of my PS2 (someone else modded it for me)

When I put the CD-RW into my PS2, it spends a long time loading from the CD, then it goes to the browser for a second (it flashes), then it goes to the Please insert a PlayStation 2 disk. What am I doing wrong?

Should I be burning this onto DVD*R/RW's, or CD-R/RW's, or does it not matter?

Yes it matters. If your trying to back up a DVD-ROM based game you need to use DVD-R's. If it's a CD-ROM based game then you need to use CD-R's. Burn it with DVD Decrypter: http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id3.html If it's a CD-ROM based PS2 game you need to burn it onto CD-R. Use any of these methods: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/236278 ALL these topics are covered ad nausem in the forums. Search next time.
