Ok,
I am trying to figure out if I can put two diff disks together in a program and still keep the menu ...
I am trying to backup my copy of The Color Purple. unfortunately 1/2 of the movie is one one side of the disk, and I have to get up and turn it around to see the 2nd 1/2 of the movie. This is a PAIN in the butt! All I want to do is put both sides together on a disk and watch it - the trick is, i can't find a way to do it AND keep the full menues. PLEASE HELP.
So far, I managed to use SHRINK, I back both sides up, then open re-author in SHRINk and I get them on a disk - BUT when I play it, I cant skip to a certain chapter etc (and this is a 3 hour movie with a whole lot of chapters!) Shrink does not let me keep the menu's.
Can anyone tell me of any OTHEr programs where I can achive this goal successfully???? Any help would be appreciated!

styguy,
Thanks but I think you slightly misunderstood my question.
I already know how to back both titles together - my problem is I want to KEEP THE MENUS in the process, and Shrink does not let me do that - everytime I try to add the menu, I get a message saying I have to do a FULL DISK back up to keep the menu. But its way too much EXTRA info to do the full disk for both sides.
My Main problem is keeping the menu screen intact along with the merging of the titles.

travalon,
I'll take a menu I have to make myself over not having one at all - I know that Gangs of NY is a pretty long movie too - you said you were able to do that one?
Maybe I will try that TMPGEnc DVD author that you mentioned. So far, that is all I have.
Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to give up ...
I gather you are pleased with your results.
