Here is a very easy question for you guys. I am using dvd shrink and nero to make backups. I know I should turn the write speed down to 2.4x or 4x. How do I do that? I cant seem to find a way to turn down the write speed.

But that CD or DVD into the drive before opening Nero.
If you do not do it like that there are only "normal" burn speed and not CD/DVD speed you want.
So if you try that, what speed you have?

The easiest way is back up the movie to your hard drive using DVD Shrink and then use Nero seperately to burn your movie to disk. I find that when you seperate the integration of these two programs, it eliminates most of Nero's screw-ups. So after you've backed the movie to your hard drive, open Nero and burn a DVD-Video disk (I dont know what version of Nero you have so I don't know what option it specifically is). One of the option boxes that comes up before you start writing the DVD will have "write speed" as a drop-down menu. Unless you are using very bad media, 4x should be alright.

When you hit the backup button in Shrink on the Backup Screen choose the Burn Settings tab and here you can change it.
