I have the Logitech X-530 speakers in my garage where the games, tv, and dvd player is. These speakers are pretty cheap and not quite up there in terms of performance, but I find them to deliver pretty decently.

I want to hook these up to my DVD player. The plugs on the speakers come in the form of 3 heaphone sized jacks. (front L/R, center/sub, and rear L/R).

In order to connect it to my DVD player, I purchased the adapter from Logitech that will convert the 3 headphone sized plugs into 2 rca plugs that I can hook up with my dvd player (or game console)

However I am not getting 5.1 sound. I ran the THX Optimizer test on the Incredibles DVD and every channel has sound when the test is outputting only one channel at a time.

But if anyone can help me set this up, please give me some advice. I know it is possible, because my more expensive (but outdated) Bose system delivered true DD 5.1 surround with only 2 RCA plugs. And it sounds really good.
