check out www.xbox-scene.com i'm not sure about softmods, it should be possible but not sure, i know if you like live and your xbox has been on live before, you'll need to change your eeprom when you change your hd, these are matched together by xbox live and if one changes, your box is banned. and i don't mean from matchmaking, i mean completely. and what ever gt's you had on the box are marked that you've been banned for a modded box.

Actaully I tried swapping my HD's with a softmod it didnt go so well but after all it did work.....Its time consuming and really challenging......I suggest use the xboxHDM to clone the drives and if not use Slayer Evox Auto Installer

PSP: Black 3.10OE-A, (2) 2 GIG Sony Pro Duo and (3) 4 GIG Sony Pro Duo

PSP LIFE: 1.0->1.5->2.0->2.01->2.60->2.70->2.80->1.5->3.03OE-A->3.03OE-C->3.10OE-A

Try swapping ur HDD when the softmods where berly release now thats a bitch, there was no INfo on how but after a acouple of days I figured it out.Now its realy easy I think.U can use xboxHDM but the only thing i don't like its no process bar.So u can either try WinHex or Norton Ghost.All you have to do is clone original HDD to another (Bigger HDD) then use ConfigMagic to backup EEPROM.FTP EEPROM to PC.Load eeprom with LiveInfo Beta then It will generate a new EEPROM key to lock new HDD.
