i got the socom 3 game not a backup an was tryin to get online with my modded ps2 which is modded with a matrix mx4 and dnas error -402 keeps coming out im thinkin this has something to do with the modchip so how could i put my mx4 in stealth mode or is there another way???????

if you're going online with the original, turn the mod off.

yea i have the same problem. i got mine modded, today and i don't know the brand of the chip, but he said it was auto dtect boot. so i researched, and it looks to me that it's that dms 4 chip.......if so.. how do i turn off the chip if it's not letting me play socom 3 online... help me quick somebody... i have a week off of school and i need to play socom online..

To turn off the DMS4, I believe you just need to hold L1 as the PS2 boots.

Hold the start button just as you turn your ps2 on, or before the ps2 logo, it works for me, if it says "disabled" you then have to press reset on ps2 1 more time, then your socom will work!

thanks...... maybe i don't have the dms... because i figured a way how to turn it off...... hold the reset button until it turns off, then press it once, and when you see the screen flicker. hit it again quick ,it should flicker again......... and it works.... but thanks for the suggestions
