Hi all, I've a lite-on 32x12x40x CD-RW drive which until a recent PC upgrade worked fine. After ugrading the pc and installing a Pioneer 108 DVD-RW drive, no matter which master or slave settings i use the CD-RW drive wont work. The main symptoms which i can tell you about are.

1. The led light stays permanently on and is an orange colour
2. The tray wont open.
3. Windows doesn't detect it
I,ve tried it without having the DVD drive installed and it just the same so I'm thinking its maybe ready for the bin? Any ideas?.

there are a number of things you could try. i suggest that you uninstall it, then unplug all of the connections, clean them, and then plug them back in seculy.
