Much gratitude to anyone who has any advice on the following:

I have an AVI file which plays fine in divx player, but when I use windows media player/media player classic the audio is at double speed if not faster. I've noticed that the time elapsed ticks up at high speed too, and when I skip to different parts of the movie the audio playback is synced up correctly to the section I've jumped to but from that point on it's still at double speed.

While this hasn't bothered me in the past (ie. I can just play in divx), this particular title is subtitled (sub + idx files) and the subtitles won't display in divx player.

As an afterthought, I also want to know why some files display multi-colour ghosting when played back in media player but not divx...

Thanks very much, HL
