I researched all I could and concluded that DVDclconer II was the top software. Unfortunately, I only found you guys after running onto functionality and CS problems with it. In any case, CS from Cloner II is useless. No replies or "just try an ealrier version" is about all I get. Nothing but problems with the software, mostly it tells me "can't fit on 1 DVD" and then tells me to split the DVD (moive only, small moives) and then prodcues DVD's that only have 5-10 seconds of movie, then more bits of the movie with no audio or no movie at all. I have been succesful making 3 or 4 movie only copies, but have half a trash can that demonstrates these were the exceptions.
Afer downloading earlier and earlier versions (2.6.4 to 2.6.2 to 2.5), the problems change, but "realiability" is elusive. I finally downloaedd the trial version of 1click DVD as the "second rated" copier. It works well (makes great copies of the same whole DVD that Cloner II said was too big to even try at "movie only".
OK, so 1 clcik is better and Cloner II has NO CS. Fine, however, before I spend another $60 on a second commerical program, is my experince with cloner II a figmenent of my own computer ineptness, or is this really a crappy program. If I'm doing somthing worng, I'd just as soon not spend more money. I want a program that is EASY and fast and "1 click". FYI, 1 click DVD made a movie-only copy in about 6 minutes! Full DVD in about 25 minutes (Lords of Dogtown). I'm impressed, but at another $60????
I've noticed these two "top rated" programs almost never come up in the forum (as I've looked around today). Did I completely miss the boat on this?
