I've done a clean install of Win XP and now can't play DVD's at all.

Windows media player, power dvd and other players I have won't work any longer.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Did you completely uninstall and reinstall the programs?

Hi, Yes. Reformated the hard drive and reinstalled windows.

Have you reinstalled DirectX 9? - if not try downloading and installing.

If that still doesn't work, may be you'll need to run a diagnostic check on your pc.
