Do you have a DVD burner? In order to burn DVDs, you have to have a DVD burner.

OK, first click on Start on your taskbar, then click on Control Panel. Once you're in the Control Panel, click on System. Once you're in System, click on Harware. When you get there, click on Device Manager. You'll see a bunch of stuff including DVD/CD-ROM drives. When you see that, click on the + to expand it. This will let you know what type of CD and/or DVD drive(s) you have installed on your computer. When you find out what type of drive(s) you have, please post them and I'll let you know if you're able to burn DVDs.

ok what you have is a DVD-ROM drive (that will read dvd's, let you play them and rip them to your computer) and a Lite-On CD-R Burner (let you burn CD's)

To be able to write to DVD media you will need to buy yourself a DVD burner. check you your local Futureshop/BestBuy/CompUSA/Electronics store and pick one up at a decent price. BenQ's arent bad, I dont mind the Lite-On DVD burners. but if you have money go for something like a Plextor DVD burner

Win XP Home, AMD Sempron 3100+, 512Mb Ram.
16x Lite-On 1633S
