Hi, I'm trying to backup my Midway Arcade Treasures 3 (PAL UK) game DVD. I'm using SwapMagic 3.3. The backup appears to load fine and brings up the game selection screen. But when you select the game you want to play and press start or x it brings up the 'Please Insert Playsation or Playstation 2 Format Disc' message.

I've tried a regular Alcohol 120% backup and backing up following the Cdvdgen re-build guide - same result with both.

Any ideas?

Try a straight burn with DVD decrypter, very few games require a rebuild. Here's a guide: http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id3.html Burn at 1x, 2x, and then 4x until it works. Use good DVD-R's, no Memorex or Imitation.

You have some type of mod right? You need a flip top, slide card, or magic key (for Slim PS2) to run Swap Magic. Yeah a member named Henri Paul has backed it up: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/237650 You may want to contact him and ask him how he did it.

Figured it out. Need to use Zoneloader to boot.

Boot PS2 with Swapmagic 3.3
Swap with Zoneloader DVD 0.5 Beta
Swap with Midway Arcade Treasures backup

Works fine.
