I burned tekken 5 from an iso, I used swap magic plus 3.6 to boot it, it boots fine but whenever I go to a versus or arcade it just freezzes on the Versus loading screen. However I can hold start and select and get back into the main menu. I can also get on the history mode and play tekken 3. without any trouble at all.
Anyone got any ideas on this, could it just be a one off dodgy burn ?
Or should I try a diffrent approach. I burned with alco 120. as I say it boots up fine, I can even get tekken 5 practise mode on. i just cant get versus or arcade.

sounds like a bad burn try swloing down speed of burn what dvd r you using the only pro with is game is the opposite whenm using sm 3.0 u cant get devil within or history with out cogloader but like i said i would say its ur disk

I did burn it at a rather high burn speed 16x I think, trouble is I deleted the iso. Would I be wasting my time making an iso from the one i have burned ? Im guessing I would, since it dont work.

u could try no harm in that if you can rip the iso try and burn at 4x

I think it will work. I had a game that had really slow
load times, i just reburned it to a better DVD and it
now works fine. So it should work
Never burn at 16X, that is just way too fast.
I say go 4X max with an 8X speed DVD
Good media: Philips,TDK,Verbatim,Taiyo Yuden,Ritek G04
I suggest an 8X speed DVD-R

I've got a well related question.

My tekken 5 CD doesn't let me chose the mode that's a scroller type thing. The Arcade history doesn't work either.All i get is the "please insert a playstation or playstation 2 disc" screen.

I doubt this is fixable...by the way my copy is not original, but i DID buy it ;P

Looks like you need a mod chip or swap magic to play it if it aint an original

cogswap disk on swapmagicfix works for that download the one for .hack inflection burn to cd

to load

load cd sm
swap with cd loader
eject
load dvd sm press x
swap with dvdr press x

now you can play devil with and history

i tried extracting the iso from my fast burn but I get an I/O error unrecovered read error. guess Im knackered. oh well Il stick to tekken 4
