As the title says, I would like to make an ISO of my Action Replay Max. It has such slow load times and it speeds up quite abit when installed to a ps2 hard drive. The problem I'm having is actually making the ISO. All software I have tried fails (I have tried DVD Decryptor, Alcohol, Nero. I'm sure I've tried at least 1 more piece of software but can't remember what) But I know this is possible but just can't manage to make the image. Can anyone help?

I've read these statements alot in the past and I already know you can't burn them, it's something to do with the way the originals are pressed - like swap magic discs.

I have an image of an American version this is how I know it works. I want to make an image of my pal version for my pal games, I just haven't been able to do it. But I know it's possible.

Thanks for the reply.

I see you wanna construct an iso and see if you can run it off the hard drive. Interesting, but unlikely. The copied iso would still contain the bad sectors of the original and likely be useless. Plus I don't think you can create an iso of the original ARMAX thru conventional means. You can could copy the files to your hard drive, but burning them back to CD or DVD would be fruitless. Good luck with that though.

Sorry if I didn't make my previous posts clear. This is possible. I have an image of an NTSC version, although I don't know how it was made. I require a method to make an image of a pal version. It is not possible to burn this to cd or dvd. I intend to install this image directly to my ps2 hard drive.

Sorry I just realised while typing this that, in my previous posts I mentioned my hard drive, but failed to mention it was for my ps2.

I am 100% certain this can be done, as I currently own a working image. Its just that I am unsure what sofware to use, or even if I am using the correct software with the wrong settings.

So you actually can use the image of the of the NTSC version from your PS2 hard drive with your games? That would be very interesting indeed.

You can only use this image off your drive with actual games. To use AR Max with game images you have to alter the game ISO to include AR Maxs' code. I'm not cled up on how to do this though. So would just prefer to have AR Max on my hard drive for the ease and speed of it.

Also do you know anywhere I can get AR Max codes for San Andreas? I have Googled, but I only ever find Hot coffee mod, and a few basic codes. I've finished the game and no of cheats, but would like some codes to make the game more interesting/entertaining (not that it isn't already). I think Datel haven't released these codes on there site, cause there cashing in on the cheat disc solely for San Andreas, even though the game's been out for a while now.

What I want to do:-

make an ISO of AR Max. That's it. This is all the information I need.

I know how to transfer the image to my ps2 hard drive. I know you can't burn it. I know NTSC an PAL codes are different. I have some NTSC games so this version comes in handy.

Most of my games are PAL. I noticed that the NTSC version loads quicker from hard drive, so would like to add my PAL version, but don't know how to convert to ISO.

Dunno hope you're successful, but still skeptical about this whole thing. I wouldn't count on somebody coming out of the wood work with a magical solution. I'm not sure you can construct an iso from the ARMAX. As far as GTA codes if they're not on codejunkies, doubt they're out there. There's plenty of non ARMAX cheats for the game. ANY site will have those, do some searching.

It is possible, I just really don't know how. I have a working image on my ps2 hard drive, but it's NTSC.

boobooman - what do you mean you use it with out the 10mb. Do you have it on your hard drive or something? What software have you tried. I am clueless as to how the NTSC version was made, as I've tried all the top software that normally works, so doubt there's much chance of solving this one.

Well I believe you can can boot a back up of ARMAX with Swap Magic. So you can probably just download the U.S. NTSC version.

I've tried PAL codes with NTSC version and it didn't work. I'm not entirely sure what you meant but, yes it reads the new codes stored on the memory card and the original ones from the disc (if his is what you meant).

what i meant is cant we just use us codes on the PAL version ar isnt that clever to work it out that the code arnt for the PAL

so say you have a burnout 4 NTSC (only ex)
and PAL ar
download the new code list from the us site
update code list with the us codes rather than the PAL
would that work
or just enter the codes manually worth a try
for me anyway only got 5 games on NTSC so not a real prob for me

sorry if you dont understand what i mean i just rable on

Thanks for explaining, I see what you mean now. I haven't tried the NTSC codes on the NTSC version, I just always clicked on the euro site without giving it a thought. I don't think the codes will work on PAL games, but I'll give it a try.

Hi "eiamhere".

Ive been tryin to get GTA/SA ARMAX codes aswell, and its pissed me off cuz i got ARMAX to use the codes for gta cuz it sed on the box, it includes codes for GTA. Fear not because a days worth of searching for codes have led me to thIS; http://faqs.ign.com/articles/574/574529p1.html

I found tons of codes here *note dont blame me if they dont work on the europe version of ARMAX cuz i havent tried em myself.....personally i cant be bothered to enter all of em.... and also ive found a page containing a MOD for the PS2 version of San Andreas.

Behold, the Hot Coffee mod, a hidden game unlockable unless you use ARMAX. It is a mini sex game and strictly for Adults, (but i dont care if ur 10 to be honest) and again i havent tried these out but here's the website anyway

Thats got all the cheats u ever need.

Well, happy killng

K thanks, but sorry if the codes dont work....as you know, i havent even played san andreas properly yet, even though im borrowing it, because i really cant be bothered to do missions or enter cheats.....But what really annoys me is that, as soon as you get a game, the next sequal comes out.....for example a new GTA, GTA liberty secrets or something like that is "Coming SOON!!!" according to an advert on MTV......Dam you rockstar for producing addicting games that you soon get bored of but forced to buy the sequal which is also only good for 3 weeks like the last game...(*GASP*) lol...
