U have to use more than DVD Decrypter. U have to use a combination of programs.

Here is a list of programs that can help complete the process

1)DVD Decrypter
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_...

2)DVD Shrink
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_...

3)CloneDVD 2
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/clon...

4)DVDFab Decrypter
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvdf...

and here are some guides, u should read to help u know how to complete the process

DVD Decrypter
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/small_dvd_2_dvdr.cfm

DVD Shrink
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd9_to_dvdr_with_dvd_shr...

CloneDVD 2
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/full_dvd_to_dvdr_with_clo...

You can also use xilisoft dvd ripper to rip DVDs to other video formats. It works well. Find its free download version and have a try.

As borhan9 stated in some cases Decrypter is not enough because the original DVD is too big to fit on your DVD5 disk. You need the free program DVD Shrink to compress it down. You can get the guide and software here on using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.

http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup%20with%20Decrypter&Shrink.pdf

If your iso is smaller than the 4.3g limit then you can do a straight iso read and write with Decrypter.

I used SmartRipper last night, but then I did DVD2AVI and I get no sound when I use TMPGEnc afterwards. I am trying to rip my Buffy DVDs into MPEG and so far everything I have used have failed. Its like the sound is 10 seconds off for some reason.

Thank you SOOOO much Borhan9 for the links and tutorials etc. for this, this is exactly what I have been trying to find, tutorials with pics so you can see what it is exactly supposed to look like..Must have been a lot of work to do that though...thanks so much.

AnEnigma.

Weird Question...
Is there a way to see exactly what the security looks like, not like pulling it out etc, but what it exactly looks like?

Thanks.

Well, I am not sure exactly how to explain, maybe it's something you can't see...lol.

I have backed up discs before with clonecd but that is simple to do and never had a problem with most discs I've tried..Maybe because the discs I've done have security that just takes clone cd to back up, I'm moving on to other discs now that clone cd does not back up without use of other programs...so....

I was just curious as to like, if you picked apart the cd for instance, what the code? Not sure if that term is right..may look like? That's only way I can describe it...I like to pick things apart...and take them apart....see how they tick...remembers as a kid putting a spirograph pen in our toaster just so I could take it apart..with an excuse to do so..does not fly well with parents! LOL...

From what ur saying you want some sorta program that can show u how the code or what the protection is called etc... The only one that i know of is for DVD's and not CD's mayb just go to google and do a search of CD protection crackin or something like that.

I personally dont know how to do it exactly but all i want to have is a program that can do it...
