can i play socom 3 on a PAL id changed ps2 online?

i changed my PAL ps2 id to ntsc so i can play both ntsc and PAL games online! i know if i download socom 3 i wont be able to play online but what if i buy the real game will i be able to play online then?

also after ive changed my ps2 id to NTSC region do i still need to use swap magic to load the NTSC games up?

don't double post please... and the bumping in the other forum was really annoying also. If it's backup games then yes you need swap magic, not sure how changing system ID affects originals from another region.
