When i try to drag it,it says its and illegal file.Should i rename it somthing,if i do will the ps2 still read it when i try to play?

What's the name of the file? Some programs don't support long file names.

thats 1 thing,it never had a name to start with.If i put rename,it would be stuck with that name.It said that the romdir(type of file it says it is) is and illegal type of file and wont allow me to drag it over with the roms and other files.

Well rename what it was originally, so if it had none, just leave the name blank. Very unusual for a file to have no name, what's the extension on it? Not to get you paranoid, but you may want to virus scan the nameless file.
