after a 2 years of faithful service my beloved.....harddrive stored its last file today.
i remember like it was yesterday,(wait it was)i was nearing the end of the much anticipated week long download of parkan:iron strategy, b4 i went to sleep that night, i feared leaving it alone cuz of some bad clusters that had developed a few days b4,but i just thought they were benign and just a quick format down the road would remedy the problem,maybe get a copy of spinrite the next day....ohhhh why did i wait?
my dear hard drive i will miss you but! your legacy will go on with perhaps a nice new 60 gig hd! or maybe even..*GIGGLE* 120 GIGS BABY
but i also lost my not quite complete copy of parkan!!!(30 megs left when i went to bed)
DOH!
What ever!

I know its hard to let go after it gave you soo much but unfortunately all harddrives have a life span too! I'm sure its going to a better place now anyway so be happy for your old hard drive and extra happy about the shit hot new babe of a hard drive you are going to buy!

what really gets me is that im sure it finished dloading parkan now the damn thing wont even spin to salvage anything off it 8(
