Hey everyone,

I recently purchased swap magic 3.6, I contacted them to ask the a few questions ( I know should have asked them before but I thought quickly) but they ignore me (good company eh?).

So I will try to ask my questions here..

First off, I heard there was a way to play videos with it, Is there?

Second, I use dvd decrypter to copy/burn my games, Will they work with it? And will they work if burnt to a maxell dvd+r, Or a maxell 80 min cd-r?

Is there any further things needed to use it?, I mean do I really just put the disk in and then press x and put a backup like say 'Batman Begins' It will play it, fully?

do you mean back up movies? if so you do not
need Swap Magic to play those. They will play just fine
on a stock PS2

DVD Decrypter is a great program to do games with

there is a tutorial on using it.
Most games (about 95%) will play just fine
some games out there need to be rebuilt to work with Swap Magic
and any dual layer (DVD9) game will not play at all
You will know it is dual layer if the ISO file you make is over 4.7GB
I have heard Maxcell are good DVD's, i like the -R better myself
But any PS2 above a V4 should play either. I suggest you try setting
your burner to burn +R media as DVD-Rom, this seems to work better with the +R media. Search the forums for how to set booktype in
DVD Decrypter and i know i have seen posts on it here.
Burn DVD based games to DVD and CD based games to CD
I do not think DVD Decrypter will do your CD games, you will have
to find a CD burning program for those.

And, no Swap Magic alone will not play your back ups
You need one other mod and that depends on which version PS2 you have
Both the slim and older chunky types have aftermarket flip tops
you can buy

with the slim you can also get a slimtool,magic switch,
or ghost switch instead of the flip top

with the older chunky PS2 you can make or buy a slidecard

but you need some way to swap the Swap Magic disc for your back up disc. If you press the reset or open the top the PS2 will reset
and it will not work. That is why you need one of the above.
there is also a tutorial on making a slidecard and how to
use it on the tutorial page ate the site i gave you a link
to above for the DVD Decrypter instructions.

Yes, Thanks you answered all of my questions, And also yeah... I ordered the combo swap magic that includes the slide card, So I think everything is set to go.. Now I just wait for the swap magic to arrive.

And I do not see any cd rom games anymore, Nor play them so I probly will not have any need for burning them. Thanks again for your help.
