when I rip using smartripper the default aspect ration for the ripping is 16:9. However the majority of my DVDs have an aspect ratoio of 2.35:1. This means that when they are ripped thay are all squashed up. Is there are programme that can rip 2.35:1 or is there another way to compensate. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

When (if) you use TMPGEnc, still set the source as 16:9 Display, and specify Full Screen (keep aspect ratio 2) and that will keep your Anamorphic Wide Screen settings.

I Know, cause i've done it on "The Mummy" which also uses this 2.35:1
