how do i use dot halo for halo maps changes so they work?

I try to change the pistol but it does not in the game

ok.. well I'm having difficulty as well but go to www.xboxrevamped.tk they have an excellent tutorial and programs to get you started.

My problem is that I know how to do it it is just that whenever I chagne anything it says that an error has occured in changing the values. When I check the problem it says that a program is already using it, but what program would try to use halo 2 maps? None of the programs I have except dothalo would use it; is it maybe the auto update for pc's running windows that has a program that occupies the map just in case you would want to mod them?

dot halo is a tag editer so you cant do very much without certain plugins.
to change projectiles go to [weap] and open the weapon you want and go to the dependencies and select th proj. go to the drop box at the top and sellect what you want the weapon to shoot.
(plasma pistols and rocket launchers are the only thing that soot stuff that others can see)
to spawn vehichles choose the plasma pistol and got to dependencies select one of the proj(the first one is the primary shot and the second is the charged shot) and up in the tag class window where it says proj and chang that to vehi then simply select the vehichle you want it to spawn from the drop down box where you switch the projectile.
Close map and get your hands on a good map resigner and resign the map put on you xbox.
(do not use dothalo to resign your map unless you know how to hex)

I know how to do that but I'm confused because when I try change the clip stuff and below I get this: 'There was an error while changing the value.' Then when I exit it says:
'An unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the app. will ignore this erroe and attempt to continue.
If you click Quit, the app. will be shut down immediately.

The process cannot acces the file "C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Desktop\Maps\warlock.map" because it is being used by another process.

When I click the details dropdown menu it says:

dude i know that does suck and i doubt anybody has that exact same problem but if u see if some1 else has that prob. or can fix it, u should post it in different sections for the Xbox

read the tutorials damnit.

you have to FTP them from your xbox (assuming halo2 is copied on your hd and that ur xbox is modded). you go to the place that halo2 was copied grab the files and put them somewhere on your comp.

please next do some research. Nobody in these forums got anywhere by bitching to other people. Look it up. Learn..

The thing is that i can do it like that but when I save the changes it goes back to default settings. so it isn't that simple of a problem.

I am already ftp'd and i have dothalo and WinRAR, when i mod maps with dothalo i make the patch then patch the map then upload it to my xbox but when i try to load it it says i failed to load the map, why is that? should i not let dothalo encypt it?

are u ftp'd to your xbox? if you arent then fallow a tut on the site, if you are you i suggest first u make 1 folder in you my documents i suggest calling it mods, then make another folder withing said folder called maps, within that folder make these three folders-- folder 1 Unmodded folder 2 To Be Modded folder 3 Modded.

then open up FlashFXP if that is what your using and connect to your xbox, then open drive E then open folder TDATA then open folder 4d530064, then open $c the three folders in that folder contain the maps they are named accordingly except for dune= relic, deltatap= sanctuary, triplicate= teminal.

transfer the map u want to mod into the "unmodded" folder then copy the and paste the map into the "to be modded" folder.

then open dothalo and on the top left hand corner it says "Open Map" then select the map in your "To be modded" folder

ok i downloaded Net. Framework...but when i go to download Dot Halo it comes up as a word document with a bunch of code not something i can use....any ideas

alright i have dothalo and everything, and i know how to ftp, but my xbox doesnt have halo 2 on it's hard drive. my question is can i mod the new maps becuase they ARE saved to my hard drive and i know for a fact they are under the Halo 2 folder. You think this will work? and if you don't have an answer for me that's fine keep ur rude/sarcastic letters to yourself it makes you look like a 5 year old.
