ok im about to upgrade my hdd but i have to back up and ftp my eeprom to my pc right but my xbox wont let me do it.
i will let me copy my disk.bin bios.bin and hddkey.bin but not my eeprom dont i need this somebody please help

FTP to your Xbox and transfer over your eeprom to your computer and put it on a floppy or burn it to disc and safe keep it incase you need it later.

thats the problem when i drag my eeprom over to my pc it says the file transfer didnt work but i know i need the eeprom what can i do.

Did you go into your dashboard and make a backup of the files?

Your dashboard should have an option in the system to make a backup of those files which wioll then make a folder named backup on your C: partition then you should bebale to FTP that folder or the EEPROM in that folder to your computer threw FTP.

yeah in my dashboard/backup are these files
hhdkey.bin
bios.bin
disk.bin and
hddinfo
but when i try to pull over the eeprom it says transfer failed im getting so mad.

nevermind i used the slayers auto installer disc and backed it up from there and then was able to drag it over thanks though...
