i have a version 1 ps2(30001r) modded, my main problem is w/madden 06. Game freezes and the ps2 makes a grinding sound, i tried using a verbatim and a phillips dvd+r, burned at 2x and 4 x w/dvd decryptor , still no fix. should i try ritek dvd+r? will that make a significant difference? ive burned many games in the past

with a version 1 you should not use +R at all
from what i understand V1-V4 do not play +R
I would try some good 8X -R DVD's

im sorry i just did some research and i have a version 5/6...the only game that seems to give me headaches in madden 06, especialy online seems like i cant get past the 3rd quarter w/o it freezing, online if the game slightly freezes, it cuases you to lose your connection, the ps2 makes a grinding noise

I suggest rebuilding the game with Isobuster,patch it for online play and make a new project with Nero. On all older model PS2's I suggest using -R media such as Maxell,Verbatim,TY,Sony.
