Looking for strong p2p behind firewall

I am looking for a good p2p that works well behind a lan firewall. I am a student at a university which tries to limit the use of p2p sharing networks. Currently I am using mirc, a chat room type p2p that is somewhat complicated to use. Anything that anyone knows of would be greatly appreciated.

You could try Direct Connect @ neomodus.com
I dont know about the firewall thing, but it is alot like mirc without the confusion.

Direct Connect is fairly bad when you use it with ZoneAlarm though so watch out!
