Every single time I try to use DVD Shrink my laptop shuts down in the middle of the process. I have no problem when I use DVD Decrypter and I don't know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Shrink is very cpu intensive and your laptop is probably overheating. Shrink is also compressing while decrypter is just ripping. Make sure you are not doing anything else while using shrink - I'd shut everything off. You can also try using a cooling pad.

As Binkie states you can try a cooling pad, they have them with a fan built into them, or just try blowing more air on the computer with a fan. I have this problem with Shrink and my laptop, the pad helped, but I really no longer use Shrink because it does use so much CPU power. You could try the trial of CloneDVD it is less CPU intensive or possibly Nero Recode, if you have Nero, and run it in low priority.
