Uh I don't know about that. Sounds pretty fishy. I'd avoid buying a premodded console from anyone who sells it without a lens. There are plenty of legit sites that sell premods. If you're considering buying a premodded console, check here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/200596

I've seen it with my own eyes! the owner of the shop was the one who converted the ps2, it has a hd and network adapter attach. when i look at it because i was kind of confuse on how it works, he said that it was the modchip that runs the hdloader. and i can trust him because he was my technician since 95.

Calm down, I never said it couldn't work. I just meant personally I would never buy a premodded PS2 without a lens. I understand that living in the Phillipines, you're options are somewhat limited. You can buy a premodded console from one of the sites in the previous link I posted. I'm sure shipping and handling is expensive. Ask the owner of the shop what modchip it was. Off hand the DMS 3 and 4 have HD support. Check out http://www.dms3.com for info on them.

Well I've never heard of a PS2 model 18,000 before. Make sure you're identifying it correctly. http://www.chipzone.com/versions.cfm For a tutorial on the HD advance check here: http://www.hdadvance.com/hd_advance_how-to-use.htm

Yeah the model numbers are slightly different in Europe and Asia, that could explain why I'm not familiar with the model number. If it has no expansion bay, hmm I'm not really sure how to proceed. I will consult with someone who is a little more knowlegable on the hardware side of the PS2. I'll have to get back to you on this one. Sorry for the delay.

I'm guessing the PS2 is chipped with a DMS4 EZI Pro and has ToxicOS 0.3 flashed onto it. This will let you play games directly from the HD without requiring a boot disc.

If it doesnt have a lense you would not be able to load more games onto the hard drive unless you did it through a computer.
