well, i USED to buy a LOT of my computer components from Fry's Electronics, down at the Orange County store, don't remember which one exactly, but, then i got SCAMMED with a USED and DAMAGED motherboard that was "repackaged" and SOLD TO ME, you guessed it, AS BRAND NEW~!! :) they even went as far as putting that plastic film over the motherboard box to make it SEEM like it was manufacturer sealed~ :) LOL...so, yes, about 7-8 years ago, i FELL for it...got it home, took it out, went to install, the PLASTIC PIECE on the motherboard where you mount the cpu/heatsink/fan, MISSING...anyways, i digress...
the media selection there is HORRIBLE, and PLEASE stay away from the GQ crap~! it was discussed in another thread on this forum, i was adding my comments/experiences to it to, but, that house brand is horrible...years back when i didn't know any better, i bought them since they were so CHEAP...well, i got what i paid for...after a few months, NONE of them would playback...all coasters~ :)
i'm very weary of that place now, haven't purchased anything from them since my bad experience, besides, bestbuy/compusa/staples/office depot when they have their sales, great pricing on media and MUCH better selection~ :)
