I have a video project that I have to make for a class project. I was concerned with my MiniDV recorder because it gets a little wash out in lighting so I went to eBay and purchased a filter kit. The problem is that the filter kit was advertised for my cheap Sharp Z3 camcorder, but when I received the filters, they were made to screw in to place. My camcorder doesn't have threads on the end of the lense assembly for this. Are there any adapters available for this? Thanks.

Also, are there any good open source or freeware video editing tools available aside from the Windows XP standard editor? Just taking any suggestions if there's anything anyone knows about. Thanks-
