Okay, me and a friend purchased a game from japan, and we really don't know anything about mod chips and magic swap or whatnot, but we want to play it on our American PS2. We got the ISO on our computer, and able to burn a CD/DVD, but that springs the questions..

Do we burn it to a CD or a DVD? (Its Berserk for the PS2, japanese)

Can we do this without a mod chip or easy swap?

And if so, how? And what do we burn it with? We can get the programs, just need knowledge. I've been reading the stickies, but they don't say anything about japanese games. I don't want to blow a lot of money and it not work. Actually I really want to avoid spending anymore money alone, it was 80 dollars for berserk to be imported to my house.

Okay, we have codebreaker version 8 or higher. We will be buying ARMAX with a USB Flash drive. New question spawns though, will I still need some kind of drive opener?

why don't you just buy swap magic? Its easier and it will work for burnt games and imports (which you have). And YES, you will need a way to swap discs (either a slide card or fliptop).

Oh yeah, about burn to dvd or cd, just look on the original, it says if its a cd rom or dvd rom (probably dvd).
