What the different between -R & +R?
Which one is the best to use for back-up?
Also can you tell me what brand name -R/+R you use.

Depends on your PS2 version
Some PS2's like one brand while others may not.
I can just tell you what most people use
8X DVD-R
Philips,TDK,Ritek,Verbatim,Taiyo Yuden

but you should really do a search as this question is asked
at least once every day.
