I downloaded Narutimett hero 2 and I only got an ISO file of 1.15 GB.
I burned it on a DVD-RW as an image using Nero startsmart. But it won't work on my ps2. I'm using the slide tool kit. My ps2 is about 4 years old. Can anyone help me?

I don't think RW's are good for PS2's, especially for an old one. Try getting some better media, it's usually the problem in a situation like this. Taiyo Yudens are good as long with a few others. Might want to try DVD-R's for an older PS2.

I've got some from emtec. Will those do?

You might get by with them, but I doubt they're very good. Try Sony, Phillips, Maxell, Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, or TDK DVD-R's. Ditch the RW's the PS2 doesn't handle those well.

I also have a working copy of naruto uzumaki ninden, but there's no ISO file burnt on it when I open it on my computer.

It has: IRX,DIR,AFS and DSi files on it. I thought you had to burn an ISO file on a DVD. Can someone tell me what to do with the ISO file of narutimett hero 2 I'm trying to burn?

If you are talking about what you see when you stick
a DVD in your burner and open it in my computer, then no
you will not see an ISO file. You will see just what you have.
The game files.
You take that DVD and use DVD Decrypter to create an ISO & MDS file
Then you use DVD Decrypter to burn the MDS file to another DVD

with narutimett hero 2, i would need to know what kind
of files you have for that one to help. If they are the same
as what you listed, IRX,DIR,AFS and so on. Then you will need
to do what is known as rebuilding an ISO. Which is basically
taking those files and making them into an ISO file so that
you can burn them. here is how to do that 2 different ways.
http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id4.html#rebuilding
But someone will have to tell you the file order.

If you have a bunch of downloaded files that look like
game.001,game.002,game.003 and so on then you need a program
called WinRAR. You install that, right click on the first numbered file, in this case game.001, and choose to extract it. Then
you should get the ISO you need.

Using Nero

1. Start Nero, Use the Wizard (for easy use)
2. Select "DVD" then select Next
3. Select "Copy a DVD" then select Next
4. Select your source drive
5. Select or Deselect "copy on the fly" then click next
6. Select your write speed
7. Select either "Test", "Test and Burn" or "Burn"
8. Press "Burn" to begin

This next way is without the Wizard

1. Start Nero, and select "File" then "New..."
2. On upper left side of the window from the drop down menu select "DVD"
3. Select "DVD Copy" Icon
4. Select "Copy options" tab
5. Select or Deselect "copy on the fly"
6. Select source drive and read speed
7. If needed Select "Image" tab to choose image directory and select/deselect "delete image..."
8. Select "Burn" tab and choose your settings
9. Press "Copy" to begin

or just try DVD Decrypter
http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id3.html
which is waht i always use.
Burn 8X DVD's at 4X and 4X DVD's set write speed to 1X
Unless the game needs to be rebuild or has dummy files then
it should work.

then I still have the problem I posted earlier. When I start up the game I get: Invalid Ps2 Disc on my screen. I use swap magic. I Burnt the ISO as an image onto the DVD-R form MMORE. Do I need better dvds than dvds from MMORE?

I'm sure somebody has burned a backup of this game. The TOC is only 1.15GB's. Are you sure it's a DVD-ROM based game, and not a CD-ROM based one?

Then try some decent DVD-R's. I finally got a working burner, and will pick up TDK, Maxell, Sony, Phillips, Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, or Ritek. The first couple you can find at the local Wal-Mart. Burn at 4x on 8x DVD-R's using DVD Decrypter.

ok. But I don't live in the USA. But I don't have to use dvd recryptor because I have Nero or is dvd recryptor safer?
I let you know when I get it working.

Nero will work, it's just that DVD Decrypter is very simple and highly effective. MODE-->ISO-->WRITE. This works for %95 of PS2 games. The only exceptions are DVD-9 or dual layer games, and games that are over 4.38GB's that may need rebuilt to work with Swap Magic.

I've read some good things about NEC burners, lemme know how you like it. I probably will settle on a BenQ 1640, it's $40 and is supposed to work real well.
