Questions:

Once QOOB Pro is soldered into place, and BEFORE Qoob Bios (1.3c) is flashed on, is it true that your GC should power up and play GC games just like normal? I believe the answer is yes.

So you then flash the Qoob Bios onto the chipset.

Once again, without doing anything (holding B button down), when you turn on your GC, it powers up and plays GC games just like normal. Is this true? I believe it is.

Finally... to play a GC game *copy*, you MUST hold the B Button down when powering up your GC... this causes the QOOB menu to appear, and allows you to them place a GC game copy into the drive (or perhaps you could of had it there already?), and then ? hit some button to say continue on, and off you go... you direct boot off the GC game copy.

Is this right?

Whenever you boot the GC with the Qoob Pro installed, the Qoob Pro menu should come up regardless of whether you held any buttons or not. Holding B will bring up the menu, and holding A will initiate a disc check.

If you place any game into the GC while it's booting, regardless of whether it's retail or a back-up, it will try to boot the game. If you hold B while you power up the GC or press it while the Qoob is trying to load, the menu will come up. With the original bios, back-ups won't load. With 1.3c, they will.

The basic operation is as follows.
-Power Up GC
-Qoob Pro screen should load up
-If disc is found, Qoob will try to load it
----If B is pressed while game is being loaded, the main menu will come up and a message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen saying whether or not it found a GC game in the disc drive.
----If A is pressed, the GC will reset and if you're still holding A, a disc check will start
----If you don't press anything, the Qoob will load the disc or tell you it failed to load
-If no disc is found, Qoob Pro will display the message no disc
----From here, you can go to the menu or initiate a disc check to see if the disc has any errors.
