Hi I just got swapmagic 3.6 recently and backed up most of my PS2 games succesfuly including Red Faction 1 and 2, Jak II and some others. All of these worked fine, ripped with DVD Decryptor then burned with same program, no special treatment.

However, mortal kombat deception burned in the same manner would not boot, just a black screen. Do some games require a special method of burning? If so could you tell me how, or link me to a guide?

Also, Ive attempted to download 2 games so far, one from usenet and one from BT, one being Tony hawk american wasteland and the other was...something else...lol dont remember, i deleted it after it didnt work a while ago.

Now one came as an Iso and the other as a bin/cue, I burned them both, one with decryptor and the other with alcohol 120% and both had the same result in swapmagic "not a valid PS2 disk" or something similar written in blue. Are downloaded games different that simply rippiung and burning?

Now after a little browsing im seeing a lot of talk about rebuilding and the such, what is the purpose of this?

Downloaded games most the time will have to be extracted before you can burn the game and rebuilding is for people with swap magic it lets swap magic load the game easier, If the game is over 4.3gb I allways rebuild the game just to make sure it loads fast and helps with audio and cut seens.

Any guess on the problem with Deception?
Same thing happened to my Budokai 3 actually, just a blank screen.
