I've been trying to backup Ratchet - Up Your Arsenal and I'm having some problems. I've only made about 3 backups before so I'm kinda new at this. Anyway, I've tried 3 methods:
1. Nero Record Image, then burn image.
2. DVD Decryptor Read ISO then Write MDS (ISO)
3. The other Method using DVD Decryptor, ISO buster and rebuilding the IML into an ISO.
The first two methods almost work. When the game disk begins to boot the border goes to green, then quickly turns blue. Then the screen goes black and freezes. The 3rd method seems way off, the total size of files is like 200MB compared to 4.07GB on the other methods.
I searched the forum and found a link to http://www.swapmagicfix.com/ that indicates this game needs the CD loader burned to a CD-R to be used during the boot process. However, I also read that CD Swap Magic 3.3 and higher already include the CD loader. I have CD Swap Magic 3.2 (which doesn't seem to work) and DVD Swap Magic 2.0.
So, what should I do?? Do I need the CD Loader, or just a newer version of CD/DVD Swap Magic?? Or Something Else??
My specs are:
Ver 7 Black PS2 with Flip Top
Sony DVD+R Media Single layer
Sony DVD RW DRU-510A burner
Nero, Roxio and DVD Decryptor software
yes with sm 2.0 u need a loader download the cog swaploader for .hack off of swapmaigicfix as the one they give u for rac wont play the 2 player mode as it combined with the online and checks the disk
load sm cd
swap with cog loader
ejcet
put dvd sm
swap with dvdr
Yeah update to SM 3.6 or download CD loader. Simple solution is update to 3.6. Then you can say goodbye to cogswap loader, DVD loader, and CD loader forever.
Because it's a helluva lot easier. But if you'd rather not spend money and deal with some minor irritants, that's cool too. *Does happy Dance because he's getting a modchip* lol.
