Installing Imports on HDD using HDLOADER

Hi everyone, I just purchased the HDLOADER, and installed a few games on my HDD. I have an American PS2, and I want to install the Japanese game Berserk on my HDD.

I followed all of the instructions on this website:

But my problem is that when it is checking the American game, the disc will not stop spinning. The instructions say to hit ?install? then ?cancel? at the prompt..this does stop the disc from spinning, but if I do the swap, and put the import game in, the PS2 does the region check again, and will not let me install it. What am I doing wrong? Please help!
